Sunflower Hill creates places and spaces where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) live, work, learn, and thrive as part of the greater community. We do this by co-developing affordable housing options and delivering innovative programming.
Sunflower Hill at Irby Ranch in Pleasanton provides much-needed affordable housing for 31 adults with I/DD. Enrichment activities like cooking classes, arts/crafts, movie nights, and field trips are available to residents and the broader community of adults with I/DD.
The Sunflower Hill Garden in Livermore provides educational, therapeutic, and life skills training. Through our Hands-On Garden Programs, we offer adults with I/DD opportunities to socialize, learn, and grow. Our garden produces thousands of pounds of fresh, organic produce each year, which is planted and harvested by our program participants. More than 90% of what we grow is donated to local nonprofit partners.
Sunflower Hill is excited to share that we are building a new affordable housing community in Dublin called Grace Pointe, which will provide 66 living units for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In addition, we are thrilled that 22 units at the upcoming Francis Ranch community in Dublin will be set aside for adults with disabilities, further expanding housing access and choice in the Tri-Valley.
We have also identified land in Lafayette, California, for a future development.
